>Waiting on the world to change

>Besides an office of hard work, the AEGEE head office is also a place for discussion. The BBC world service on the radio updates us every hour on the latest developments in the Gas conflicts, TIME magazine informs us on the economic plans of the new President of the United States and the conflict in Gaza dominates all our news sources.

Does AEGEE have a place in any of these matters? As students of Europe we obviously have opinions. Our lives are affected. Instead of issueing a standard press release where AEGEE once again condemns voilence and calls for dialogue (as everybody else already did), we would like to hear what our network thinks of these matters and up to which level their lives are influenced.

That’s why today we’ll be calling our members all over Europe and investigate. Are they thinking about the voilence in Gaza? Are they affected by the gas problems? What are their thoughts on the new US president, will he bring any change? Are we feeling secure about the future with the EU protecting us against conflict and economic crisis? And what about those of us outside the EU?

Speak your mind :-)
