Olga Basova, if the end of the world would come, wouldn’t you like to spend it with her sitting on a beach somewhere in China or Japan? You say it is only a dream? Olga: Most probably about sleeping. If you don’t have enough time to sleep, you just don’t dream any random stuff but sleep, and tonight I slept only 3.5 hours.
M: So what did you dream the last time, when you had enough time to sleep and to dream?
O: Last Saturday, when I slept enough after the party, there was a dream, I can’t tell you much, but it was about love and drugs.
M: Such a nice topic to dream about! What do you think about love and drugs?
O: According to my dream, everything was fine. It was whole story like a movie.
M: What would be the title of that film?
O: Maybe “Love and Drugs”? :) Well, I have to think about it.
M: What who would play the main characters?
O: Well, maybe some stars? I don’t know, because I am not watching TV for already 5 years now.
M: But do you use to go to the cinema? What movies do you like?
O: It is the same for me movies and music. There is no particular kind of music, I listen to. If the music is good, I like it! I don’t listen only to pop, or drum ‘n’ base. It is the same with movies! I like horror movies, catastrophe movies…
M: I see you like morbid stuff! No love movies?
O: …and yes, love movies, drug movies…
M: What were the best movies you have recently watched?
O: Some time ago, we went with the CD to the cinema, to watch “2012”, it is a catastrophe movie, a really cool one. We are still joking a lot about things that were in the movie. I was never so proud to be Russian, like during that movie! There were a lot of jokes about Russians and actually the main heroes were only alive because of some Russians :)
M: Some rich Russians!
O: Yes, Russian Oligarchs.
M: So actually it were Russian Oligarchs, who have saved the world in case of a global catastrophe.
O: Yeah, yeah… and when during the movie all these arrogant presidents were deciding, whether to open the door for normal people, the Russian one was the first one to say “Yes, let’s open the door!” Yes, it is very important! (laughter)
M: How do you like the end of the movie?
O: I really believed that in the end of the movie, when they will open the doors and windows, they will see the Red Square, but they didn’t! (laughter)
M: No movie is perfect! What do you think will happen in reality in 2012?
O: We will all die! Of course! :)
M: Why?
O: It will be either the end of the world or the third World War. Americans against Russians. According to some strategic information, by 2012 Russia won’t have big military power anymore, so by that time it will be safe to start the war.
M: What would you do, if you would have to die in 3 years?
O: Actually while watching that movie I have realised that I really do not want to die in 3 years! Really!
Maybe I can take a big loan in the bank and just travel around? Maybe one year would be enough. It’s not that in these 3 years I will have to get married and have children, because anyways everybody is going to die. I would rather do something for myself; I could see the world and then die. In these 3 years I could see almost everything. I would go to China and Japan at first, then Australia, Madagascar.
M: Would you go alone or with company?
O: Well, if someone also believes that we will all die and would like to take a big loan in the bank… yes of course it would be nice to take someone on the trip! …or to go around and make new friends…but why do you make new friends if everyone will die anyways?! :)
M: After these 3 years, where would you like to be in the moment you die?
O: That is a good question! Maybe at home in St. Petersburg or somewhere at the sea. But it would be good to be with family and friends, not to die alone, which won’t be the problem, because everyone will die and I won’t have to think “ohhh, I am the only one dying!”. ;)
M: So when you die, will it be the end?
O: Of course I will be reborn as something somewhere! I don’t believe that if I am a good girl, I will be reborn in a good and rich family or something like that…
M: Whom would you like to be after your reincarnation?
O: Something important. But I could also be a shark and eat people. :) I was always fascinated by white sharks. I like the movie “Jaws” as well of course, it is so cool! Everyone is dying. (laughter) It would be my dream to go diving once in the open sea with white sharks, but of course only in case I will still have all arms and legs afterwards. ;)
M: Did you know that during one year more people die because of falling coconuts than shark attacks? So it is really safe to swim with sharks.
O: So maybe one day I will do it, take a big loan and swim with sharks! (laughter)
