Everything was perfect and well-organised at the European Boards’ Meeting which was held in Krakow, Poland between the 24th and 27th February 2010.
The European Boards’ Meeting is a unique event, because at this statutory meeting the Action Agenda for the whole year is prepared. During 2 days delegates from the Network together with the Project Director Manos Valasis evaluated the Action Agenda 2009 and formed the Active Agenda 2010. It was a crucial task, but attendees were willing enough to create successful year program for the Association.
As usual, during the EBM participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with current AEGEE-projects, the Working Groups’ and the Network Commission’s activities by attending workshops, Round Table Discussions, Internal Meetings and, especially, the AEGEE-Fair.
As AEGEE-Europe pays a lot of attention to networking and intensifying communications with other students’ associations, the representatives from Board of European Students of Technology and IsWiB International Students Week in Belgrade attended the EBM-Krakow. Mircea Vadan (BEST) and Ivana Vujatovic (IsWiB) presented their upcoming events and possible fields for cooperation.
This time the Chair Team decided to implement new activity and changed the traditional Network Affairs session to a real Open Space where everyone could propose a topic to be discussed. During the Open Space session Chair Team and participants came up with a few fresh ideas, including the “Focus Area Committees” proposal, which were presented at the Closing Plenary. For more information read upcoming minutes of the European Boards’ Meeting-Krakow.
During last minutes of the plenary AEGEE-Krakow announced that they had managed to steal the Chair Team hammer and the assignment for the Chair team and the Juridical Commission was to dance on the Chair table, the CD-members organized them singing accompaniment. This action was followed by the real battle for flags of different European’s level bodies – the Network Commission, the YOUrope needs YOU project and others.
Many thanks to the organisers for a such great event! We enjoyed it so much!
