AEGEE-Beograd from Belgrade decided to reveal all Serbian treasures and show its ways of having fun by organising an exciting pre-event in the capital of Serbia. The event starts on October 24th and it’s going to last until October 27th. During these three days, the participants will have a chance to visit the city that never sleeps and explore the unique spirit of this country. What the organisers have in store is to present Serbian traditions, culture and way of life by exploring customs, the city and, of course, the unforgettable, crazy nightlife.
Participants will have to unite their forces when trying to learn how to dance “kolo”, the traditional collective folk dance; they will discover the kissing tradition and why people in Serbia kiss three times; they will have a chance to try one of the most famous home-made brandies in the world: Rakija. But it’s not just about drinking, kissing and dancing. It will also be about the history.
Belgrade hides its secrets behind the walls of the Kalemegdan fortress which history is going back to Romanian and Ottoman times. It’s hardly possible to describe the beauty of this place with all its monuments, parks, museums, planetarium, and terraces looking out on the rivers Sava and Danube, night clubs and even the zoo. It’s like a small paradise.
Of course, we should not forget to mention the magic of this city and its bohemian spirit mixed with urban life which can make everyone to fall in love with it immediately.
If you want to know how to survive the nightlife, this city has the right answer for you, and you don’t even have to ask. Belgrade is well known for its nightclubs and parties which last till the morning. So, better prepare yourself for lots of sleepless nights!
Also, one of the great information is that AEGEE-Beograd is organizing buses for all the people who are planning to go to Ohrid on AGORA Skopje from Belgrade. Places are unlimited and everyone can join the ride in “crazy buses”. On the way to Ohrid, buses will stop in Leskovac, city with the most famous barbecue, probably in the whole world. After the lunch and visiting Odžaklija, one of the oldest church in Serbia, the trip will continue towards Macedonia, full of AEGEEan spirit.
Definitely Serbian hospitality and friendship is something you should experience and what will leave you with wonderful lifetime memories. AEGEE- Beograd is going to prove it.
