We, the team of AEGEEan, were so busy around all articles connected with the Agora that we forgot our smiley and always ready to help Olga. I work in close cooperation with Olga Iatsyna and can prove that she was always punctual, objective, and fast. She is one of those AEGEE freaks that work almost 24/7 and go to work “because they have to” but their mind is always thinking of AEGEE. Moreover we are happy to think that The AEGEEan could have its first “agent” in the big Comité Directeur (CD) house. Sounds tempting, doesn’t it?
Olga Iatsyna is a very demanding, but from time to time nice person. I dance modern ballet professionally, speak English, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, and learning French now.
I am usually smiling because I am thinking about the most beloved people in my world – my family. And when I hear the words “I love you”.
In AEGEE I combine self-development, idealism, meeting new challenges, and tons of communication with unusual people.
For all of this the thing that motivates me the most is the wish to make this world better. In AEGEE we are all kind of masochistic idealists, and sometimes it starts to seem that we are investing more than we receive. However, it only seems like it. The reward you receive in AEGEE is much bigger than it may appear.
I am running for CD because our Network is something amazing – behind numbers and names in members lists I see thousands of young people, who do care what is going on around them and what will happen in some years in our world and they try to contribute to this development in a positive way by being in AEGEE. And in order to do this they need our organisation working well – having good enough visibility of AEGEE among other organisations and having a strong network with locals helping and supporting each other. That is why I am so much interested in running for CD – to improve those fields as much as I can.
I ran for the position of Network Director because I see place for improvement in those fields of AEGEE, namely Public Relations and Network Development, which are interesting for me more than other fields. I have lots of ideas which I am dreaming to implement – restructuring Antenna Criteria, connecting more locals between each other and European bodies, creating a visual identity manual, working more on our web site and lots more.
In “real life” I work as translator in German company, which is my serious part of life, and dance modern ballet professionally.
With the other candidates I will be standing on stage in few days and will impatiently expect results of voting. I was extremely lucky to work closely with part of candidates for some time – Anna, Luis, Lucille, Beata, Olimpia and Pavel – and I love them all very much, so these elections will be very special for us all.
You have to vote for me, because I have the necessary experience of work in AEGEE, behind AEGEE and I grew up in a village with three brothers, so I can help Pavel in renovations of the CD house.
For all beloved readers of AEGEEan I wish positive mood and to those who will be at the Agora – listen to our presentations very attentively as they will be extremely interesting!
