Some time ago Comite Directeur approved and is now ready to sign the contract with AEGEE-Delft about AEGEE-Europe flag protection!
After some negotiations the final document was created and you can see it content below:
1. The Comité Directeur decides that the honorable task of protecting the flag of AEGEE-Europe against theft or unlawful removal from the chair table during the fall Agora 2009 will be granted to AEGEE-Delft. It will be the shared responsibility of all delegates of AEGEE-Delft present at the Agora to put the flag on the chair table during plenary sessions and have it in a secure place at all other times. If no delegates of AEGEE-Delft are present, this decision does not apply.
The responsibility comes into force from the moment the Secretary General of AEGEE hands over the flag to one of the delegates and ends when the flag is returned to the Secretary General after the closure of the Agora.
2. As an acknowledgment for the provided service of AEGEE-Delft, AEGEE-Delft may decorate the flag during the Agora with a discrete “Officially protected by”-sticker.
3. If the protection of the flag was insufficient to prevent it from being removed by other members of AEGEE, it is the responsibility of AEGEE-Delft to fulfill the necessary demands that might be sent to the Comité Directeur in order to get the flag back, under the condition that the flag stealing rules are respected by the stealing party.
If the flag stealing rules are not respected by the stealing party, AEGEE-Delft is in no way obligated to undertake any action necessary to return the flag.
