(Budapest, 14.-21.11.2010; Human Resources European School 2010)
In the end of November, a group of HeRoES gathered together in the capital of Hungary in order to turn a workshop room at CEU (Central European University) into a mess of flipcharts, post-it, ideas, plans and motivation.
The first Human Resources European School with 23 participants was tackling the increasing problem with member situation at local level. Not only workshops, but also case studies and sessions of personal reflection were part of the programme. HR cycle, group dynamics, team roles, motivation, conflict management, coaching, change management and strategic planning,.. those are only few topics that were included in the training schedule and delivered by great group of trainers.
Why was HRES so special? Apart from being the first purely HR related training, it was also an example of a successful cooperation between AEGEE and other student NGOs. By opening it to our friends from different associations, we ended up having trainers and participants also from BEST, AIESEC, IFMSA and IFSA. Bringing together active youngsters from such a variety of NGOs brought to the training a lot of spirit, motivation and enable both participants and trainers to look at things from different points of view and gave them a chance to learn a lot from each other.

After a fruitful week, everybody was leaving rainy Budapest full of new ideas, inspirations and plans for the future. Good luck, HeRoES!
