Previous week end I’ve spend in really nice small student city in Germany – Tubingen. Why? I will tell you in this post.
So on Friday I’ve left CD house at 5.30 am in order to catch train to Aachen. After traveling for 9 hours around Germany and making 6 changes I’ve finally arrived to Tubingen to attend Network meeting which took place between 8th and 10th of April. This Network meeting gathered around 40 people from German’s local to discuss important issues like quality of events, PR, HR and FR on local level.
Apart from discussions during workshops we’ve also had really fruitful discussions about future of AEGEE, role of student organizations in the society, whether Europe is really united and possibilities of cooperation inside Network during open space. From my side I was really happy to receive feedback about current work in AEGEE and to find some ideas what can be improved.
During AEGEE Café I had a possibility to present structure of the European level and to tell a bit about work of current Comite Directeur. After introduction of all my colleges and replying for question like “Are you really working for more than 8 hours per day” and “How are you living all together at one place” I’ve managed to convince people that CD members are also people with some feelings, dreams and they are always happy to communicate with people around them.
So when on Sunday I was taking my train to Brussels I was a bit sad that these 3 days passed so fast. It was really productive event, in the really green and sunny city, with really cool people and even if I was one of 2 non German speaking people at this Network meeting I’ve managed to talk almost to everyone and to discuss a lot of important and interesting things.
So once more I want to say thank you to Alex from NetCom, to AEGEE-Tubingen and to all participants for great time spent together! J And I hope to see you all somewhere in Europe really soon!
