>""Following Nico, last week I also went to a Network Meeting to present CD – my NWM was going on in Izmir, organised by AEGEE-Izmir and Network Commissioner Ugur.

Although unfortunately we had few participants, it was still great atmosphere and people, 100% of them interested in AEGEE and taking part in workshops and training sessions. As almost all of them were new AEGEE members, Ugur & me gave them the basic information about AEGEE, European level of AEGEE, project management, intranet and civil society (read: NGOs).""
After spending two days inside AEGEE-Izmir office (can we move CD House to their office, please?), everybody was so exhausted and tired, that NWM T-shirt slogan “Where is the beach?” was unofficially changed to “Where is Izmir?” :)
""Indeed, in the first two days we saw nothing of the city as we were working and learning hard, therefore one afternoon & the day after was fully devoted to seeing the city and getting to know more about Turkish culture, including long discussions about relationships between Turkish youth. Neverending topic… :)
""
I can’t mention also the evaluation session of the NWM, where it turned out that apparently most of the organisers & participants learnt from each other more than from me & Ugur. When asking to name one thing they will take home from this NWM and they have learned the most, some interesting answers came out, e.g., I admitted that people in Izmir have very good level of English, but
Cansu was saying: “I learnt that Greek people walk very, very slow!” Intercultural dialogue! :)
